Sony launches NWZ-A820 series: The A828 and A826 Walkman Related entries: MP3 & Digital Music Tags: sony You’ve probably heard of Sony. It’s done a few things here and there over the years, including the building of a damn-near indestructible MiniDisc player. Today it’s showing off its new Walkman lineup, which includes new versions of the NWZ-A810 series, not surprisingly called the NWZ-A820 series, and is led by an 8GB Bluetooth-enabled MP3 player called the NWZ-A828. There’s also a 4

Channel 4: it’s history (book review)

Last night I used Yahoo! to find more info on ‘music match’.. And this is one of the first results:

Channel 4: its history (book review) February 13th, 2008 at 9:22 am by CharlieBeckett Would we miss Channel 4 if it died? Maggie Browns new history of Britains alternative TV station generally makes the case that we would but inadvertantly it shows why we are still not convinced. I should declare that I spent eight happy years at Channel 4 News which I still think is one of the best TV news shows in the world. Its made by ITN but its own history reflects everything good and mad about

Netflix Dumps Rock & Rule

Today I used Live search to find more information on ‘music library’ so I could post it into ‘Pop music’. And this is one of the many results:

For a long time I’ve been wanting to see Rock & Rule, a 1983 futuristic fantasy that’s been called the poor-man’s Heavy Metal. The plot involves a demon from another dimension that can be awoken with rock music. The movie was in my queue, listed as having a “Long Wait.” But this week Netflix removed Rock & Rule from its library. (note: I live in New York, the title may be available in other parts of the country.) I’m bummed because this looks like such a specific kind of science-fiction film

Frankly, not what I was looking for, but you might find it an interesting read.

Audio Editing Software

Audio editing software is used on a daily basis by many people so I thought I would talk a little bit about it. Mostly studios use these kinds of programs to mix and fix the music they produce. You however may think you dont need it for anything because you arent in a band, but there are other uses for it that might surprise you. You can for example make your own ring tones for you mobile phone. This can be done with simple audio editing programs and you can choose any song you want and choo
